Knowing and Doing

Knowing and Doing: What can Christians learn from a Jewish model of education? The goal of the Jewish model is not just mere memorization of repeatable facts; the goal is to live out the truth. In this approach, truth is designed to lead to transformation. In the Jewish model, the student has not learned a thing when he or she can repeat it to the teacher; it is learned only when it is reflected in the student's life. One ofthe biggest struggles for Christians has been how to have the proper balance between both orthodoxy (right belief), and orthopraxy (right practice).
